continued commitment to attracting internationals students. Although
overall numbers have dropped by 1 or 2 %, the total number of foreign
students in the US remains at above the 600,000 student level and the US
Government continues to view strong international student enrollment as
an important policy goal. . Mr. Neisular stressed the wide variety of
choices available in the USA as well as the possibilities for
scholarship opportunities for gifted students.
The Canadian presentation focused on the uniformly strong standard of
education offered at Canada’s universities as well as the importance of
government commitment to nurturing a world class university system.
Canada’s unique program of student employment - - both during a
student’s course of study and in the two years immediately following
degree completion drew significant interest from the seminar audience.
The affordability of Canadian higher education was also emphasized.
The program’s host, the American College of Dubai, offers transfer
